How to set up browser automations

Step 1

Select how you want to create your automation. You can choose from Guided (recommended for most), Apps (this is like zapier and pabbly), so you don't need those anymore), prebuilt templates or our original recorder (best for superusers)

Step 2

Just press record and follow the prompts. In the Guided mode you need to confirm each step. This is to make sure you know what you're capturing and help you learn the process of building a great automation

Step 3

Then you can set up your "trigger". This is either a schedule, a webhook (sheet changed, contact added, message received) or an action coming from Apps where you can natively integrate with over 100 3rd party apps

Step 4

Play steps on desktop or run from the cloud. Either way works. And it's that simple.

Sold on Taskmagic

I, like many others, was a skeptic at the time I bought this deal. But I decided to wait it out and am not disappointed. In the time since, the team (mega-nuclear super warp props to Kyle) has worked tirelessly to create a platform that has not only created its own (new) space but rivals Pabbly (which really needed to happen--I'm not happy with those guys) and Zapier. I think this "seed round" of Appsumo users will come to benefit Taskmagic and I hope they keep innovating the product! As usual, Noah knows who the successful entrepreneurs in these spaces are--and his endorsements are usually solid.

Warning: This app caused me to waste hours of my time being entertained on YouTube

Upon discovering this tool, I decided to delve into the YouTube channel and watch the videos. While my original plan was to concentrate solely on the Task Magic tool...I was engrossed by a number of Jeremy’s videos, and as I delved deeper, I found myself exploring unrelated topics like the recent Hollywood strike, personal growth, and even gaining valuable business advice. When Jeremy mentioned that he had read the book “Choose Yourself” three times, despite it being the only book he had read, I couldn’t help but be intrigued. Haha. I decided to get a copy for myself and yes, it’s an fantastic book. Despite this deviation, I found Jeremy’s content highly entertaining and it became clear to me that he possesses the drive necessary to steer this company towards triumph. When you watch his videos, you can truly understand his character and realize that he is genuine. I am confident that once you have the chance to view his videos, you will be filled with anticipation for the ongoing development of this tool. It brings to mind the success story of Zapier not too long ago, and I believe this tool has the potential to become the next big automation tool... especially because it aims to offer a user-friendly experience unlike some technical tools like Zapier, Pabbly, Make, etc. Once Task Magic is fully realized, it will undoubtedly be phenomenal. Please note that I received compensation for writing this review, so please consider this while evaluating its credibility. I'm kidding of course. I jest at the sight of controversy surrounding an AppSumo deal. I see right through it. It must be the work of a marketing genius, as we all know that controversy is a powerful driver of sales.

TaskMagic Review: Best product-focused RPA solution out there

The TaskMagic team has created a fantastic product, and unlike most RPA software, it runs locally without the need for external dependencies. I personally love how it runs in a sandboxed Chromium environment to ensure that the tasks you automate will be less flaky. It avoids interference / side effects from plugins, similar to how a good UI test is written. Awesome stuff.

Tremendous value

I've rarely ever spent as much on software as the $500 bucks I spent on Tier 4, but providing this tool can get over its bugs, it provides immense value that will far surpass that. I've created integrations I've been trying to achieve through Zapier and other similar tools for months or even years. On AppSumo the team have been very responsive, and have been really helpful in answering questions. They've also hugely improved the app over the AppSumo deal period. They may need to put some more people on support, as I have been waiting for days now. Hopefully that's as a result of a small team putting all efforts into new developments, which we've seen frequently over this period. But overall, if you're on the fence I'd HIGHLY recommend this at Tier 4. This could become the next big thing in integration I think.

Innovative & Futuristic! Forward-thinking

While my overall experience with TaskMagic hasn't been sunshine and rainbows, I give them 5 stars according to what matters most. 📌 The customer support is impeccable. Quick response time and helpful. 📌 This group is innovative. I bought this because I see this tool will serve me well in the future. 📌 JEREMY IS EVERYTHING! 🏆 This guy is so original and authentic. I know there are other founders, but this guy IS the face of the brand. Wise decision. And he is ultimately the reason I purchased TaskMagic. And I'm so glad I did. I trust HIM. 🏆 A shout-out to Vince for taking the time to record a video and help me navigate. Yes, as with every software, improvements will be made over time. That should be expected by anyone investing. We're still in the infancy stages (I feel) with TaskMagic, and it's already explosive in what it can do. I do wish Webhooks were available for all plans, given that. However, it's not a deal breaker. ActivePieces (another wonderful software on AppSumo) has our back for that. I will leave one caveat and one warning to those who are new to these types of tools or who are just learning how to automate certain things: ⚠️ Be circumspect when automating for social media and start slow because the algorithms could think one thing and suspend your account. ⚠️ In my instance, I am newer to this type of tool. So, I implemented an Instagram pull of followers TaskMagic template. The tool did what it was designed to do. It pulled them all. ⚠️However, the algorithm was unhappy with me and suspended and permanently disabled my account. I wasn't happy about that, but mostly from the response from the tech founder, who acted so cordially and slightly nonchalantly about it as if we should already know that could happen... No apologies of any sort, and that put me off. Lack of emotional intelligence. He'll grow. Again, we're all growing, and I will not count that experience with one person against them in this review. This goes back to my point about the strength of Jeremy's brand. He was and still is my buy-in.. enough to override that experience. I really like that guy, haha. So cool. That is the only thing I would ding them for if I chose to. However, we'll count it as a lesson learned. Feedback: I think the TaskMagic team could give more guidance and warnings (like the scenario) instead of assuming we all know these things or should know them. Learning to think in our shoes vs. where you are and what you know would be best. Teach from a blank canvas enables you to empower and teach from a place of strength. That's what builds a solid foundation of fans and community.
